This is my 2D Shooter project for the Coursera course "Game Design and Development 1: 2D Shooter".

The game was tested on Windows 10 and with WebGL.

I added the following elements:

  • Four new unique levels with different challenges tied with a story line.
  • Modified main menu design with self-made UI elements and background.
  • Reskinned in-game UI.
  • In-game health bar, health counter and power up counter on level 4.
  • New self-made backgrounds in each level.
  • New environmental elements on level 2.
  • Environmental challenges, like destroyable wall with animation and moving asteroids that can damage the player.
  • New player ability on level 4 (projectile which can deal greater damage) and healing boosts around some levels.
  • New boss enemy which can deal greater damage and spawns enemies to protect itself.
  • New challenge modes: modified GameManager script to allow other level competition modes, like defeating a certain enemy or reaching a certain coordinate on the map.
